Are dental implants safe?

In short, yes dental implants are safe for most patients. However, like with any surgery dental implant surgery can pose some health risks for a small percentage of patients. Problems with your dental implant procedure are rare, and when occurring usually are minor and easily fixable.

Are dental implants better than dentures?

If you are looking for a more affordable option, dentures would be the most cost-effective for a tooth replacement. However, if you are looking for long-term relief and functionality, dental implants may just be for you!

Are dental implants covered by insurance?

Unfortunately, most basic dental insurance policies don’t cover the dental implant procedure. However, patients whose basic dental insurance won’t cover dental implants may be able to add cosmetic dental procedure coverage to their plan, which can cover a portion of your dental implants (up to 50%!). Your medical insurance may cover your dental implant procedure as well. Be sure to schedule a call with your insurance provider, and talk with them about what options you have available to you!

Are dental implants worth it?
