Dental implants are a permanent solution for missing teeth. They are titanium posts surgically placed into the jawbone and act as a bridge to the missing tooth’s root. Once the implants integrate with the bone, they provide a stable foundation for replacement teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures. They mimic the look of a natural tooth.
Dental implants have many advantages over other tooth replacement options. They look and feel like your natural teeth—a permanent solution. Dental implants offer long-term benefits: better oral health, a more youthful appearance, and improved confidence. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime and provide a permanent solution for missing teeth.
Fixed implant appliances are a more stable and durable solution compared to removable dentures. They don’t slip or move as you speak or eat, providing a better quality of life. Single implants don’t impact neighboring teeth, unlike dental bridges. Implants can also prevent deterioration and shrinking that can affect a person’s facial appearance and oral health.
Implant Stability
Implants are not removable and once integrated with the bone, they provide a strong, stable base for replacement teeth. You can eat, speak, and confidently smile without your teeth slipping or causing discomfort.
Implants preserve and enhance your natural facial structure by providing volume and promoting bone growth by stimulating the jawbone and mimicking the structure of a natural tooth root through a process called osseointegration.
Texas Sedation Dental & Implant Center specializes in helping patients achieve the oral health they need to be a candidate for implants. We are firm believers that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to high-quality dental care. Healthy gums and sufficient bone density are required for implant placement. However, if you have bone loss or bad oral health, we can help you! We have placed over a thousand dental implants and employ advanced techniques such as sinus lifts, bone grafts, and zygomatic implants which can help prepare your jaw for implants. If you have periodontal concerns, we can help with that as well. If you’ve been turned away before, give us a call.
The dental implant process is multi-step, starting with a complimentary consultation. During your initial consultation, our consultation specialist will evaluate your oral health, and determine the best approach for your situation.
For single implant placement, a titanium post will be surgically placed into the jawbone of a missing tooth area and after a healing period where the implant integrates with the bone, a custom crown is placed on top to restore the lost tooth’s function and appearance.
For a fully fixed dental implant appliance, since this is a more extensive surgery, it will be performed under IV sedation administered by our in-house CRNA. After the anesthesia takes full effect, we will remove any remaining teeth and surgically implant 4 to 6 dental implants into the jawbone, serving as natural roots. A temporary device will then be attached to the implants, giving you the smile you’ve always wanted. This procedure is known as Teeth in 24 Hours.

Implants are titanium posts surgically placed into your jawbone to act as the root of a missing tooth. Over time, they fuse with the bone to provide a stable base for replacement teeth such as crowns, bridges, or dentures. This integration will make your new teeth look, feel, and function like natural teeth so you can confidently eat, speak, and smile.
A good candidate for implants is someone in good overall health with healthy gums and sufficient bone density to support the implants. Factors such as uncontrolled diabetes, smoking, and gum disease can affect the success of the implants. During your consultation at Texas Sedation Dental & Implant Center, we will evaluate your oral health and help you create a plan that will get you where you need to be for dental implants.
The implant process starts with a consultation and a personalized treatment plan. The first step is placing the titanium implant into the bone. After a healing period during which the implant integrates with the bone, a custom-made crown is attached to the implant to restore the tooth’s appearance and function. The whole process is designed to be as comfortable as possible, with options for sedation to make it pain-free.
With proper care and maintenance, implants can last a lifetime. Regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups are essential to keeping your implants and surrounding tissues healthy. Avoiding habits like smoking will also help extend the life of your implants. At Texas Sedation Dental & Implant Center, we will provide you with detailed care instructions and ongoing support to keep your implants in top shape.
Implants have many advantages over tooth replacement options, like removable dentures and bridges. They provide a stable and permanent solution, preserve the bone, and prevent bone loss. Implants don’t affect neighboring teeth and look and feel like natural teeth. This stability lets you eat what you want, speak clearly, and confidently smile without your teeth slipping or causing discomfort.
